Pacific Head of Partnerships and Programme Development

Website WWF-Pacific

Reporting to the Pacific Conservation Director, the Pacific Head of Partnerships and Programme Development serves as a strategic leader on the Pacific Leadership team, spearheading the design and coordination of innovative programs that align with the organization’s five-year strategic plan. This role is crucial in guiding fundraising initiatives, from creating high-quality proposals to ensuring rigorous quality assurance and smooth implementation of early-stage projects. In addition, strengthening of partnerships with both international and local actors, including local organizations, public sector entities, government, corporate partners, and other vital partners is key to this role. The Pacific Head will apply Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) approaches to ensure that partnership and programme development is equitable and responsive to the diverse needs of stakeholders in Fiji, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea. This involves engaging stakeholders in meaningful ways to design and implement programmes and strengthen partnerships that are locally relevant and globally impactful. Additionally, the Pacific Head will ensure that all initiatives are aligned with the WWF-Pacific Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system, at the start of projects through well planned inception phases and strategically develop risk management in programme development to uphold the integrity and success of WWF’s vision of a ‘People and Nature Positive Pacific’.
