Program Background

The Australian Government’s Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) works with partners to deliver economic and social infrastructure that benefits Papua New Guineans. ESIP works across sectors such as energy, telecommunications, health and markets, and supports Papua New Guinea’s state-owned enterprise improvement program.

Cross-cutting activities are embedded into all aspects of ESIP’s program delivery. These include gender equity, disability, social inclusion (GEDSI) and safeguards, climate change and disaster resilience, and locally led development.

Role Purpose

The Senior Coordinator Learning and Development (L&D) will primarily be responsible for all L&D activities across the business. The Senior Coordinator will coordinate all L&D activities across the program and work closely in collaboration with business managers to develop L&D strategies and initiatives. This includes a focus on locally led development (LLD) ensuring team coherence between the L&D and LLD strategies. Activities include undertaking training need analysis, conducting annual reviews of the program’s L&D strategies, as well as developing, implementing, monitoring the progress of all L&D initiatives. The Senior Coordinator will also have regular interactions with internal stakeholders and external training providers.
